Tourist Development - This is when they refer to all the activities with providing the facilities to the tourist in the destination.

Regulatory Bodies - All travel and tourism operators have a duty to serve, so they put regulatory bodies into protect the customer and also the company. Regulatory bodies exist at different levels in travel and tourism:
Global - ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation) they deal with the international air flights services.
European - European commission they deal with the package travel regulation and also distance selling regulation.
National - The UK Government deal with legislation concerning health and safety at tourist attractions and also airport safety.
Local - The local authority help with the trading standards and inspections of hotels, restaurants and any other food premises.
